Description

In this course, prospective teachers¿ knowledge of and skills in effective instructional planning and teaching will be developed in this course. Emphasis is placed on instructional strategies, lesson and unit plan development for diverse student populations, lesson implementation, alignment of objectives with standards, and formative and summative assessment strategies, all within in a secondary education context. Students will develop skills in reflective teaching through their participation in teaching demonstrations and lesson critiques. The use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning will be addressed throughout the course. Field Experience hours required. Pre-requisite(s): EDU 250 (Pre-requisite(s) do not apply to ARL and Post-Baccalaureate students)
