Description

The study of advanced molecular processes across the physical and chemical organization of living organisms including: cell structure, function, and metabolism; protein function and enzymatic catalysis; classical and molecular genetics; gene regulation; genetic engineering; molecular aspects of development; and reproduction. Discussion will be guided through the lens of molecular biology techniques present in current scientific literature. Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 190, BIOL 209, BIOL 300, CHEM 121, CHEM 122, CHEM 241, CHEM 242, CHEM 474 and MATH 126; All pre-requisites must have a grade of C- or higher.
