Systematic examination of animal, plant, and bacterial viruses including their structure and genome organization, their reproduction and assembly, and their effects on host organisms. Pre-requisite(s) for HHS Majors: MATH 120, CHEM 108 or CHEM 110, BIOL 251A, BIOL 251L and BIOL 224A, BIOL 224L; Pre-requisite(s) for all other majors: MATH 126, CHEM 122A, CHEM 122L, and BIOL 209; All pre-requisites must have a grade of C- or higher.
