Description

Study of the immune response, cell-mediated and humoral. Topics include the diversity of antibodies and antigen receptors, evolution of immunity, cell-cell interactions, importance of major histocompatibility complex immune regulation, and immunity to microorganisms.
Pre-requisite(s) for HHS majors: MATH 120 or higher, BIOL 224A & L and CHEM 108; Pre-requisite(s) for all other majors: MATH 120 or higher, CHEM 122A & L, and either BIOL 209 or CHEM 474; All pre-requisites must have a grade of C- or higher.
Recommended pre-requisite(s): BIOL 251A & L or BIOL 351A & L
