Introduction to the neurosciences, emphasizing cellular, molecular, and physiological aspects. Establishes a foundation of cellular neurobiology and moves on to selected topics in the organization, function, and development of neural systems. Pre-requisite(s): MATH 120 or higher and; Biology pathway Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 190, BIOL 209, CHEM 121, CHEM 122; or Human Health Sciences pathway Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 189, BIOL 223, BIOL 224, CHEM 108. All pre-requisites must have a grade of C- or higher.
